Integrating College Students into the Life of the Church
At First Baptist, we desire our college students to be fully integrated into the life of the church. Instead of separating students from other demographics by holding worship services and meetings designed only for college students, we encourage students to engage in opportunities in which the whole church body comes together. This takes place in a variety of settings such as prayer services, FBC University (topical discipleship classes), men’s and women’s ministry events, and service opportunities.
Life Groups
The College Life Group meets on Sunday mornings after the worship service during the school year. The group typically completes two studies each year that rotate between books of the Bible and other topical series. We aim to help each student gain a solid foundation in the Bible, useful tools to study and interpret scripture, and practical wisdom to navigate life.
College Ministry Retreat
Each Spring, the college ministry spends a weekend together to fellowship, encourage each other, and pray together for our church. It gives students space in the middle of busy semesters to rest and focus on the Lord, and remember that the Christian life was intended to be supported by a community.
